a5c7b9f00b Covering nearly fifty years of mid-19th-century turmoil, from the tumultuous Texas Revolution to the early women's suffrage movement, "True Women" is a gripping tale of endurance, love, and above all, gritty female determination. True Women is a sweeping saga of love, war and adventure. Spanning five decades from the Texas Revolution through the Civil War, Reconstruction and beyond, True Women is the story of the love, friendship, survival and triumphs of Sarah Ashby McClure, Euphemia Ashby King and Georgia Lawshe Woods. I have seen this movie several times now and really love it. I especially love Sarah and her sister. They were both strong women and would have loved to have known them. I read one review from someone who was related to them . Another movie I really like , is : Stolen Women, Captured Hearts" I have only seen that one 2 times, but would like to see both of them again or get the movies so I could watch them whenever I wanted to. Janice Woods Windle who wrote the book about her family history did a great job of putting it on a tv mini series. All the actressesin Delany, Gish, Jolie, Majorino and Cook were greatly acted in the movie. Stuggling the life of being women and life of the battle of love and war. Now that's good History.
